Macedonia and Israel Sign Collaborative Health Agreement
4-Jan-2010
Macedonia’s Minister of Health, Bujar Osmani, traveled to Jerusalem in November to sign a cooperative agreement with Israeli Deputy Health Minister, Rabbi Yaakov Litzman, to enhance exchange of information between Israel and Macedonia in the fields of health care and medical science.

"The signing of a cooperation accord in the field of healthcare between the State of Israel and the Republic of Macedonia is a step towards enhancing already friendly bilateral relations," stated Minister Osmani.

The agreement involves sharing of information on new medical equipment, pharmaceutical products, and technological development.  While in Israel,  Minister Osmani visited Hadassah Hospital- Ein Kerem. "Hadassah is particularly prepared for emergency medical interventions due to the situation in the country,” he noted. “Given the fact that we are reorganizing the system for emergency medical assistance in Macedonia, Israel's experiences in the matter will be beneficial for us.”
