Lionel King: New President of Hadassah Australia For Perth/Western Australia

Mr. King, whose specialties are commercial law, property, succession planning, and wills and estates, was born in Melbourne to parents who were originally from Lodz, Poland. In 1970, he moved to Perth, where eight months later he began working at Hammond King Touyz. He has been there ever since!
Mr. King and his wife, Vicki, have three children—Aviva, an audiologist and a mom; Jeremy, an attorney; and Ben, a physician—and six grandchildren. Mr. King’s father’s family has some members who immigrated to Palestine in the early part of the 20th century. Mrs. King’s paternal antecedents were among the founding families of the charming city of Zichron Ya’akov, near Haifa. Mr. and Mrs. King have visited Israel a number of times and still have extended family living there.
“I see Hadassah as Jerusalem’s heartbeat,” Mr. King says. “In the good times and the not-so-good times, Hadassah keeps on. Without it, Jerusalem could be at risk.”
